๐ฉOracle
Each reserve within the Aurum Protocol is associated with an oracle contract. These oracle contracts are responsible for reporting the market price of assets in the protocol, which is essential for determining collateralisation requirements.
Types of Oracles in Use
Currently, there are three primary types of oracle contracts utilised on production Aurum markets:
Pyth Price feeds: Pyth oracles provide highly reliable, decentralised price data for various assets. These price feeds pull data from multiple sources and aggregate them, minimising the risk of manipulation or outages.
API3 Oracle - API3 is a decentralized platform enabling trustless, blockchain-native APIs through first-party oracles and Airnode technology. API3 enables the Oracle Extractable Value (OEV) resulting from the usage of these data feeds to be captured, and pays it to the respective dApps in the form of OEV Rewards.
